Family Fun Activities Suited for French Riviera Yacht Charters

Ahh … the French Riviera! There is no place quite like it. The beaches are secluded and pristine, and behind the harbors and piers is medieval architecture bursting with culture hanging just below the mountain back drop – it is a sight to be seen.

The French Riviera has something to offer visitors of every age. Young children will enjoy water activities like snorkeling and diving, while their parents enjoy the rich history and breathtaking architecture that is available by land and sea.

The French Riviera is a well-traveled part of the country that can have high prices and crowds, especially in the summer. Avoiding the crowds is the best reason to consider French Riviera yacht charters as opposed to other methods of travel. Having the ability to escape to your yacht gives you the freedom to enjoy as much or as little of the crowds as you desire.

Scuba and Snorkel in Antibes

Rated by Trip Advisor as the #5 thing to do in Antibes, your trip is not complete until you’ve done a little underwater exploration. Diamond Diving has top ratings on Trip Advisor. They are based in Golfe Juan, between Antibes and Cannes on the Cote d’Azur (that’s French for “the Mediterranean coastline”) and can provide visitors with scuba and snorkeling gear, miscellaneous outdoor activities, boat and water tours.

Stroll the Monte Carlo Harbor in Monaco

Surely there is nothing better than a scenic stroll while on vacation. If that’s so, then a visit to the Monte Carlo Harbor in Monaco is a must. We suggest that you approach the harbor by boat in order to take in the full view. After a short ride to land, you will enjoy impressive boats, beautiful buildings and plenty of people watching. In 2003 a cruise ship pier was built at the harbor, which shuttles in visitors from around the world and keeps the energy high. Note: Currently the pier is under construction in some parts, limiting access for visitors to certain areas.

Dock at Ile Sainte-Marguerite

Just a short half mile offshore of Cannes is the island of Ile Sainte-Marguerite. Only 3km in length and 900mm across, the island is unlike other Lérins Islands, even though it is the largest. The island has approximately 20 buildings and no cars. There is no hotel, so visitors can’t stay overnight, but if you are not traveling by boat, there is a ferry that can take you on the short 15-minute ride from the Cannes shoreline.

Sunbathe at Escalet Beach

Everything about this beach is remote, yet it has the modern amenities you expect, including a toilet, showers, a few cafes for food and beverages, and an on-duty lifeguard. Pets are welcomed on this hidden gem that is just as gorgeous as the rest of the St. Tropez coast.
